ABOUT
While automotive design has not been a focus of my studies, I have a passion for all things automotive. In my spare time I like to restore and modify various project cars. Like many automotive enthusiasts, I am working on a budget, and do not have a state of the art garage in which to work.
During the many, many hours spent working in said garage, I began to realize the inadequacy of existing portable lights. Lack of light was the single most frustrating aspect of whatever task I was working on - from spray painting, to repairing fuel injection, and especially when working within the interior. The inadequacy did not come from any deficiency in light output - foremost it came from the inability to easily position the light/s where they were most effective. This is really just scratching the surface.
Stepping back from my automotive-focused lighting troubles, my initial research into existing work lighting solutions revealed a stale market. I am of the opinion that this is a market ripe for innovation - this project seeks to determine in what form that innovation may come.
The intended purpose of this blog is to act as a design journal throughout the development of my major project. I fully expect the scope of this project to warp and focus over the coming weeks.

Wish me luck.
